John is a neutral and independent CEDR Accredited Mediator who helps guide and facilitate the early settlement of disputes both in the UK and internationally.
Mediation Advocacy
John is an experienced mediation advocate who can be seconded to a team because he may conceivably be better positioned to craft a mediated solution than a lawyer focused on preparing for success at trial.
Negotiation
John is an expert negotiator whose ability to engineer unconventional but commercially viable settlements has repeatedly been utilised by entities ranging from multi-national corporations to SME’s and individuals.
Risk Management Consultancy
John offers a risk management consultancy service, with particular emphasis on the use and application of appropriate and effective contractual Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms, specifically including Mediation, as a pre-cursor to any litigation or arbitration.
In recognition of the significance, complexity and cross-border nature of many disputes, John will travel both domestically and internationally in order to mediate matters to a successful conclusion. He has already mediated in England, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. He can also host mediations if a neutral venue is a pre-requisite for participation. These and other matters will be dealt with, as appropriate, in any Mediation Agreement, the essential terms of which will mirror the CEDR model.
Fees are charged on either an hourly or, if work volume so dictates, a discounted daily rate. Much depends on the circumstances of a particular instruction. Once agreed, the parties will have available to them, for a highly competitive rate, a committed problem-solving ability which reflects 37 years experience of the City and of UK and cross-border litigation, arbitration and mediation.
